We also want you to know that we don't consider you to be a visitor. Faith Encounter is God's house, and you're never a visitor in your father's house. So welcome home.
What Should You Expect?
Sunday Morning Worship
Sunday worship services begin at 10:30 am. Our services begin with a time of praise and worship, led by our very own FE Worship Team. Then, the uncompromised Word of God is delivered in a relevant message by one of FE's pastors. Our Encounter Kidz ministry for children ages 5-12 have their own services downstairs, starting at the conclusion of praise and worship. Nursery is also available for ages 0-4 beginning 10 minutes before the start of service. Sunday worship services usually last 90 minutes but we want to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way so sometimes times may vary. Don’t worry about what you wear. Our Senior Pastor may be wearing a suit but there will be plenty of us in jeans and t-shirts. We just want you to come and freely worship a living God who loves you! When you arrive at FE, our greeters will be there to welcome you. Greeters are usually stationed at the front doors and at the Welcome Desk just inside the foyer. They will be glad to show you where everything is. Greeters can help you find things like the nursery, our Encounter Kidz classrooms, and can also point you to the restrooms. sanctuary If you have any questions about the service itself, our greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
Wednesday Night Worship
Wednesday night worship services begin at 7:00 pm. Adults enjoy food, worship and Bible study in our caFE. Encounter Kidz for ages 5-12 join the adults in the caFE for food before heading downstairs for their own services. FE Youth, FE's youth ministry for ages 13-18 meet downstairs for food, worship, and the Word. Nursery for ages 0-4 is also available on Wednesday nights. Services normally last around 90 minutes. Everyone on campus gets a chance to eat so don’t worry about rushing to pick up dinner before church. We have it covered.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
- God: We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus: We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, sinless life, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension and exaltation, mediatorial work, and personal, imminent, and visible return in power and glory.
- Holy Spirit: We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers, enabling them to live holy lives and to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ despite opposition from the world, the flesh and Satan.
- Man: We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation.
- Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift of God to those who repent and personally believe in Jesus Christ; that it is accomplished by God’s grace through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
- Eternity: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life with God, they who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal condemnation separated from God.
- Prayer: We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Baptism: We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
- Fire Baptism: We believe in the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart along with speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
- Church: We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. We believe the church is a special place where there is spiritual unity of all true believers as the Body of Christ.
- Great Commission: We believe that Christ commanded the Church to go into all the world and make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching those who believe to obey all that Christ commanded.
- Government: We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in separation of God and government. Christians are salt and light in society.
